| Region: MALSM Content: The event itself is scheduled as a traditional weekend-long, LSM regional retreat, which often works well in a camp or retreat center context. Friday night is spent moving in, getting to know each other, playing games, having the first small group session, and opening in prayer and worship. Saturday includes a morning service project, afternoon free time, two more small group sessions, a guest speaker, and evening worship. Sunday has a business meeting, final small group session, and worship service. Something that might be of interest is that Sunday worship was conducted at a local Lutheran college. Not only does Sunday worship outside of the retreat center take the planning burden off of you, but the presence of a large number of LSMers at a local congregation or chapel helps build awareness about our organization and friendship with that congregation. |
