A Resolution Concerning the Exploration of Inter-denominational Worship

Whereas, we the Lutheran Student Movement-USA (LSM), attend the ecumenical gatherings in hopes to broaden our understanding of other Christians, and;

Whereas, the focal point of any national Christian gathering is the final worship where all come together to worship in unity.

Therefore, be it resolved that the LSM National Council shall through its representatives to the ecumenical gathering planning committee request the committee determine how to temporarily set aside the denominational separations for the purpose of having an ecumenical Eucharist service which includes all denominations, and to demonstrate Christian unity, and;

Therefore, be it resolved that we as LSM recognize that the intent of this request that we might come to a better understanding of each other and begin the process in which someday we as Christians might unite under one name, and;

Therefore, be it finally resolved that we as college and university students recognize that this process will not be easy.
