86-A (1)                          Amendment to Reduce the Number of Advisors

to the LSM-USA National Council

WHEREAS LSM-USA operates on donations, and

WHEREAS the National Council of LSM-USA has the responsibility to exercise good stewardship of these donations, and

WHEREAS the National Council believes that reducing the number of its campus ministry advisors would reduce the costs without reducing effectiveness of the council,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Article VI of the LSM-USA Bylaws now read:

            “A.  The council will select at least one advisor among the Lutheran Campus ministry personnel in the United States.

             B.  Additional advisors will include the executive director and the assistant to the executive director for student services of the Division of Campus Ministry, and any other person whom the council may so designate.”
