REDESIGNATION OF FUNDS

            In the October meeting of the National Council in 1979 it was proposed that LSM-USA hire an additional staff person. A great attempt was made by that council to raise 46,000 by August 1978 to hire another person.

            Allie Leitzel, one of the National Staff persons of that year was very highly motivated to achieve this goal. In spite of the efforts of Allie and others their goal was not reached and the effort was subsequently abandoned. Yet by this time $943 had been raised which has been held in an additional staff travel fund by LSM-USA since that time.

WHEREAS: This is no longer a priority with LSM; and

WHEREAS: This goal is no longer financially feasible;

THEREFORE, Be it resolved that this account be closed and the money be used for staff travel which we fee parallels the spirit in which these funds were originally raised.

SUMMARY

            In order to improve the bookkeeping for LSM-USA, this will transfer funds from an obsolete account (Additional Staff Travel Fund) into the Staff Travel Fund now in use by your Field Staff.
