WSCF RESOLUTION

The Lutheran Student Movement of the USA would see value in a world-wide meeting of Lutheran students modeled after the recent Orthodox consultation sponsored by the World Student Christian Federation. Therefore, the National Assembly of LSM-USA (with the support of the LSM-Canada) proposes to the WSCF that their General Secretary explore the possibility of such a consultation of WSCF-related Lutheran students.

LSM-USA would see the objectives of such a world-wide consultation as including:

a. To deepen and enrich our understanding of what it means to be a Lutheran in today’s increasingly pluralistic and ecumenical world:

b. To explore the many and various perspectives on our common heritage and tradition as Lutherans;

c. To unite in celebration of that heritage in worship, Bible study and discussion; and

d. To explore the ways in which we as Lutherans can contribute to society as a whole and world-wide student Christian movements in specific.
