80-4     RESOLUTION ON ECONOMIC JUSTICE

 

BACKGROUND

 

            The 10th Biannual Convention of the Lutheran Church in America passed a social statement on economic justice.  That document called for all LCA groups to study and discuss the statement over the next two years.

 

            Material for study as well as the revised text of this statement are available from the Division of Parish Services of the LCA.

 

            LSM-USA through its legislation has expressed concern about economic justice.

 

RESOLVED

 

            The 1980 Assembly urge LSM-USA groups in conjunction with their campus ministries during 1980-82, to study the economic justice statement of the LCA, its relation to LSM-USA stands in previous legislation, and consider its implication for students and lifestyles.
