Christian Growth and Witness

LSM-USA encourages the use of study programs for personal growth and knowledge as well as the utilization of evangelistic outreach programs.  In 1979-80 a special emphasis is to be put on the study of the creeds and confessions of the Lutheran church, in connection with the 450^th Anniversary of the Augsburg Confession.

Actions Taken in Response

+    The Augsburg Confession was the focus of study for many LSM events in 1980, including the Southeast Regional and Western Pennsylvania sub-regional events.

+    The Pacific Northwest Regional dealt with Lutheran doctrine and its application to daily life.

+    An article in the December 1979 LSM Newsletter listed ways of getting involved in study programs and ways of witnessing through worship and action.
