HIGH SCHOOL - COLLEGE RELATIONS
WHEREAS it is recognized that there is a gap between Lutheran affiliated high school groups and Lutheran affiliated college groups,
WE HEREBY RESOLVE to direct LSM National Council to work to bridge that gap by directing information and publicity about LSM to national Lutheran youth ministries, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to encourage individual LSM member regions and local groups to provide communication about LSM to high school groups in their locale.
ACTION TAKEN: The All-Lutheran Youth/Adult Gathering, "For All the Saints" held in New Orleans in August, 1976 provided an excellent opportunity for LSM to reach more high school youth than any other way we could have conceived. There' were thousands of Lutheran high school students participating in the week's activities LSM's participation
A 4'by 7' poster/banner designed and constructed in the LSM National Office using LSM bulletin insert. design concepts and including a brief Statement on LSM as well as its main address for more information.
An article about LSM in the newspaper published daily during the convention, explaining LSM and describing the national conference and legislative assembly.
Actions taken by local groups to inform their high school people about their campus ministry program and about LSM varied from place to place. One group in Long Beach invited a group of high school people to a dinner and presentation of LSM by the field secretary.
