LSM COUNCIL TRAVELING EXPENSES

            Whereas, five regions encompassed within the Lutheran Student Movement (namely: New England, Mid-Atlantic LSM, Southeast, Pacific Southwest, and Pacific Northwest regions) are geographically far-reaching in comparison to the more convenient central United States regions;

            and whereas all regions are required to send a representative to the National Council meetings of the Lutheran Student Movement on a semi-annual basis;

            and whereas traveling expenses to and from these National Council meetings place a discriminatory financial burden upon the five geographically-disadvantaged regions;

            Be it resolved, that the Legislative Assembly of the Lutheran Student Movement here assembled institute a policy, effective immediately, requiring all regions to accept financial responsibility by dividing total basic traveling expenses into equal apportioned payments for all representatives attending National Council meetings.
