Whereas, during the past year we have witnessed divisive and destructive events within the Lutheran Church–-Missouri Synod;
Be it resolved, that we, the members of the Lutheran Student Movement, commit ourselves to continued prayers concerning the resolution of current difficulty within the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod;
and be it further resolved, that the Lutheran Student Movement draft a letter to Dr. J. A. O. Preus, President of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, and request that such letter be read to the 1975 National Convention of the LCMS. The intent of this letter is to inform the LCMS convention that we, the Lutheran Student Movement, are praying that the will of God be fulfilled in all decisions and actions of convention leaders and delegates, and that the spirit of Christian love and understanding be manifested among convention participants.
