Ecumenical Resolution

Whereas the 1973 LSM National Conference in Golden, Colorado showed substantial interest in the following by a questionnaire:

--That there is a need for both regional and national gatherings of students

--That these gatherings be ecumenical in nature

--That their agendas center around such themes as:

(1) Re-Visioning the American Dream

(2) Critiquing and de-mythologizing American Civil Religion

(3) Challenging the escapist tendencies of contemporary American religious expressions

Be it resolved that the LSM upon approval of the Assembly be empowered to enter into the process of making such ecumenical gatherings possible through collaboration with the North American Office of the World Student Christian Federation, and that this information be passed on to this office.
