Resolution #3:

Since the Lutheran confessions say that all who believe in Christ are members of the body of Christ—the unity of the Church is not in interpersonal agreement, but is given in Jesus Christ; and

Since the renewal of the Church can grow through honest and concerned communication between factions in the Church;

Therefore, be it resolved that the L.S.M. Council arrange honest communication and confrontation between Lutheran college students and the established Church at large; and

Be it further resolved that the Council of the L.S.M. seek responsible voice for Lutheran students in decision making in the church at large (1) through L.S.M. assemblies in their home congregations and (2) through L.S.M. members who work toward this end in their local campus settings.
