The action cited below was taken by the Standing Committee of the Department of Campus Ministry 6 February, 1970:

“ACTION:       That the Standing Committee of the Department of Campus Ministry adopt the following statement on student participation for dissemination to campus work authorities.

                        The Standing Committee of the Department of Campus Ministry feels strongly that student participation be provided at every level of governance of the Lutheran campus ministry.  The Committee deems it not only realistic to include students as full participants, but also necessary as wise to provide the agencies with the perspective and counsel of this section of the churches’ membership.  Therefore the Committee urges that all campus work committees secure official committee membership for no less than two students as a matter of policy in ways consonant with the constitutional provision of cooperating judicatory authority.

                                                                        ADOPTED”
