"Transformed to Reach Out!" -Romans 12:2 For more information regarding the National Gathering check out the official Gathering page It's that time of year again to start thinking about the Lutheran Student Movement (LSM) National Gathering for the 2008/2009 school year. This year the gathering will take place in Chicago, Illinois at the Downtown Westin on Michigan Ave (aka The Magnificent Mile) right in the heart of Chicago. The gathering will start on:
December 31, 2008 and go through January 4, 2009.
At the National Gathering students will have the opportunity to meet fellow Lutheran college students from around the country. Students will be able to hear from some amazing speakers and participate in worship with their brothers and sisters across the country. Students will have time to participate in workshops that give them resources to find their role in the church, and other awesome opportunities will be available in the Windy City. A portion of the gathering will be dedicated to plenary sessions. These sessions are times when students can let their voices be heard and aid the direction of LSM and the larger church.
This is a very exciting time for LSM and the national council would love to see all of you in Chicago. This is truly your organization and the council needs your input to determine what we should be doing, and what LSM should be doing. We look forward to seeing you in Chicago. If you have any suggestions regarding the content of the gathering, you are welcome to email them to katy.resop@elca.org or lsmpresident@gmail.com .
God Bless,
